Gaming Sector Embraces Equity for International Women’s Day

The gaming sector is demonstrating its backing for International Women’s Day.

On March 8th, numerous firms and organizations within the gambling industry are participating in the #EmbraceEquity campaign. This encompasses prominent names like BetMGM, Betsson, Entain, and PokerStars, all employing the hashtag #GamingAsOne.

Other entities, such as the British Horseracing Authority and Godolphin Racing, are utilizing the hashtag #AllintheRace.

Even regulatory bodies like the Malta Gaming Authority and the Massachusetts Gaming Commission are endorsing the campaign, alongside companies such as Better Collective and Clarion.

This marks the second consecutive year that All-in Diversity and Square in the Air have collaborated to commemorate International Women’s Day. In the previous year, they produced a video showcasing women in the industry.

This year, their aim is to spotlight the personal narratives and achievements of women who contribute to the gambling industry.

Tina Takor-Rankin, co-founder of the All-In Diversity Project, stated that the collaboration with SkyCity will be somewhat different from the previous year’s video campaign.

“Last year, our International Women’s Day video campaign with SkyCity was intended to emphasize the sometimes surprising personal encounters women face when working in the gambling and gaming industry,” Takor-Rankin stated. “As we move into 2023, it’s time to acknowledge and an opportunity to emphasize the remarkable accomplishments of women in our industry.

“This event utilizes these accomplishments to demonstrate that the industry is not only striving to fully ’embrace fairness,’ but that our diverse experiences make us stronger.”

Alan Kbe, Creative Director at SkyCity, mentioned it was heartening to witness the industry’s support for the event.

“We were astonished by some of the extraordinary achievements shared by women worldwide in this campaign, but most importantly, it reminds us that each of us has our own narrative, our own encounters and a distinctive set of strengths worth recognizing,” Kbe said.

“It’s motivating to see the world’s largest gambling, gaming and racing organizations unite under the #GamingAsOne and #AllintheRace hashtags to celebrate the power of our diversity.”

On International Women’s Day (March 8), a comprehensive list of supporting companies, along with the accomplishments and experiences of the women featured in the campaign, will be published on social media.
