Professional Gambling Affiliates Association Launched to Champion Fair Treatment for Affiliates

Joonas Karhu, the Chief Business Officer at Bojoko, has established the Professional Gambling Affiliates Association (PGAA) to rectify the disparity in the partnership between operators and affiliates within the online gaming sector.

Karhu emphasized the absence of contractual safeguards for affiliates, who frequently encounter inequitable terms and conditions subject to change without prior notification. This practice deviates from established norms in other industries where contracts provide stability and assurance.

The PGAA seeks to alter this situation by championing equitable treatment for affiliates, ensuring they secure agreements that guarantee compensation for the players and income they contribute to operators.

Bojoko has committed to overseeing the initial dialogue between the PGAA and operators and encourages all affiliates to become members of the association.

“The circumstances under which online gambling affiliates are compelled to function are unprecedented when compared to other industries and sectors,” remarked Karhu. “Conducting business without contractual security is untenable and exposes businesses and their workforce to significant risk.”

He further stated, “Through the formation of the PGAA, I aspire to furnish affiliates with the contractual assurances they require to confidently endorse operator brands, knowing that the players they attract and the revenue they produce are safeguarded over the long term.”
