A prominent affiliate marketing firm, Catena Media, is expanding its footprint in Asia through a significant acquisition. They’re shelling out $5.5 million for a Japanese affiliate network, a major force in the online casino scene there. The deal involves an initial payment of $4 million, with an additional $1.5 million due in six months.

This acquired network is no slouch, generating approximately €350,000 in revenue per quarter and boasting an impressive 80% profit margin. The agreement also sees Catena welcoming three new permanent staff members and four independent contractors from the acquired entity. Furthermore, they’re merging their current Japanese web addresses into the acquired network, consolidating their position within the region.

Robert Andersson, the head honcho at Catena Media, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, describing it as “a prime illustration of our worldwide expansion plan, setting us up for substantial development in the Asian market.”
