They’re shelling out a hefty $35,000 monthly to Dragon King Entertainment, the fortunate proprietor of the casino. The twist? Century Entertainment retains all the profits (ka-ching!) but also absorbs any deficits (yikes!). They’ll also be covering the wages of their personnel.
And what about Dragon King Entertainment? They’re tasked with ensuring those gaming permits remain spotless and managing all the operational expenditures. Think utilities, sanitation, maintaining the climate control, and covering the croupier’s paychecks.
The Dara Sakor Casino itself sounds like quite the entertainment hub. Imagine this: approximately 40 general gaming tables, 55 VIP tables (whales, anyone?), and 80 slot machines, all humming with activity. And if that’s not enough, there’s an Asian dining establishment, a spa for relaxation, and a discotheque to groove the night away.
Century Amusement intended to relocate its gaming equipment from Sihanoukville to a fresh gambling establishment in Dara Sakor this February, but the debut has been postponed until March due to a surge in coronavirus infections.
