BV Group Replaces BetVictor in Strategic Rebranding Move

BetVictor has undergone a name change to BV Group.

This branding update mirrors the company’s expansion past its main BetVictor label. BV Group now fuels a collection of allied brands using its exclusive technology system, featuring notable names such as Parimatch and Heart Bingo.

Chief Executive Andreas Meinrad highlighted the company’s 75 years of history in the gaming sector, explaining that the updated BV Group identity better embodies their present status as a technology supplier and collaborator to other operators, while still recognizing their origins as a well-regarded bookmaker.

This action permits them to showcase their dedication to advancement and expansion in catering to both clients and associates. The name change follows a small advertising dispute earlier this year, illustrating BV Group’s proactive strategy in adapting alongside the industry environment.

The United Kingdom’s advertising regulatory body, the Advertising Standards Authority, prohibited a commercial, claiming it was excessively enticing to children.

The organization responsible for the advertisement, BV Group, is protesting the decision. They are citing the guidelines, particularly the section concerning the utilization of animated figures or brand representatives. Essentially, they contend that simply because a promotion employs these components does not inherently render it irresistible to youngsters, and the ASA should be aware of this distinction.
